What's the catch?

Can't I just ask ChatGPT myself?
You can, and it's a useful starting point. One answer from one tool can't show whether the pattern changes across questions and tools. The Snapshot organizes those results in one view. A deeper diagnostic investigates what may explain the gaps and what could be worth testing.
I've done SEO for years. Does that still count?
Your SEO work isn't wasted — the inputs overlap: reputation, citations, a clear web presence. But AI tools build their short list differently from Google's page one, and nobody has shown what moves it yet, including us. The Snapshot tells you whether you're on that list. It doesn't grade your SEO, and it doesn't replace it.

A selected set, not every AI feature out there. Right now the Snapshot checks ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity. We're working on adding Google Search's AI features — the AI answers at the top of a Google results page — and we'll say so here when they're included.
